What size aircond do I need?
Guide: 1.0HP for a small bedroom, 1.5HP for a standard room, 2.0HP+ for living and open areas — adjusted for sun exposure and ceiling height. Undersized units never cool; oversized units short-cycle and waste power. We confirm on site.
What's included in a proper install?
Wall bracket and mounting, copper pipe run and insulation, drain pipe, wiring (to the existing point or direct to the DB), vacuuming the line, gas pressure check, and a full test run. A standard run up to 10 feet (kaki) is included; extra piping is charged per foot, quoted upfront. R410A and R32 units carry a small surcharge.
How much does aircond installation cost in KL?
Installation, relocation, leak repair and chemical overhaul are quoted after a site check. The honest reason: install price varies a lot with HP, the copper pipe run, whether wiring goes to a new point or the existing one, the bracket position, and whether it is a fresh install, a relocation, or a multi-split. Quoting blind would mean either overcharging easy jobs or underpricing the hard ones — neither is fair.
What changes the price
- Horsepower — 1.0 HP, 1.5 HP, 2.0 HP+ all use different pipe sizes and fittings.
- Copper pipe run length — a 10-foot run is standard; every extra foot is priced upfront before work starts.
- Wiring — into an existing point vs. a new DB run.
- Unit type — wall mounted, ceiling cassette, ceiling exposed, ducted FCU, multi-split.
- Refrigerant — R32 and R410A units carry a small surcharge versus R22.
- Relocation — dismantle + re-install at a new spot is its own job, with vacuuming and a fresh gas test.
